Arlo PRO 3 - night vision and motion detection questions

Hi.

I have a hard time understanding two things about the Arlo PRO 3.

1. Night vision. Is it really this bad? Or is there anything I can do to improve the quality?

2. Motion detection. I have done all I can do but it seams that its shorter then 7 meters? How do I improve it?

Motion detection uses a passive infrared (PIR) detector, and the range is ~20 feet.  It will pick up some objects from further away, but not reliably.  https://kb.arlo.com/1015583/How-do-I-optimize-motion-detection-for-my-Arlo-camera
