Hello all,

Looking for some help / advice. I have been reading and researching over the past week on the community board regarding activity zones and their tendency to not work as intended.

I have a current subscription (3 month free trial) and all the cameras are on batteries.

My cameras (espically the two in the back yard) seem to ignore the activity zones o have created and send me notifications in the large areas where I have indicated not to register / record / send notifications.

I have attached a primary area of concern circled in red.

I have tried removing the batteries ECT however they still trigger consistently outside of the activity zones.

Is there anything extra I can do to resolve this or any further updates from Arlo devs / community manager regarding future improvements / updates to the system?

Dotdusha,

You might try reducing the camera sensitivity until you achieve the desired results. To adjust sensitivity, take a look here: How do I change the motion sensitivity on my Arlo camera?

Thank you for the response James.

I should have mentioned I have adjusted the sensitivity down to a low of 15 and it's still activating in the non activity zones.

Just a suggestion looking at your zones if someone is walking even out side the zone the top of them could be detected at the windows and the back door zone. Looking at that room it seems to be hard to eliminate that. Maybe the height is deceptive  in the pic.
