This is has been an issue for 4 Years !
In order to turn off ALL notifications during the day you have to set up two Custom Modes - and then use scheduling to switch between the two modes.
WTF ! is the Arlo team thinking ???
This is not only is this a royal pain in the ass it could easily be solved by Arlo if they would only give us a button to turn notifications on and off during business hours.
But no, Arlo is NOT ready for Retail prime time, they're just a home solution and do not care about retail stores.
Very pissed at Arlo in Santa Barbara, CA

FWIW, you don't need to set up a schedule, you can also switch modes from the UI. Not very different from the button you want (though it does take a minute or two to create the custom mode).
FWIW2, you only need one custom mode, since you can use the built-on armed mode to get notifications+recording.
I get that you want less friction, but this really isn't hard.
