I have the following Arlo devices:
3 - Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Cam - FB1001, FB1001 and H4
4 - Arlo Essential Wire-Free cam - VMC 2030, VMC 2030, VMC 2020, and H6
1 - Arlo Video Doorbell
1 Base Station - VMB4500r2
One of the floodlight cams, the doorbell, and 2 of the Arlo Essential Wire-Free Cams are connected to the base station.
My issue is:
All 3 Floodlight cams take 15 to 17 seconds to go live no matter if they are connected to the base station or not.
The driveway Arlo Pro 3 floodlight, the video doorbell, and 2 of the Arlo Essential Wire-Free cams are connected to the base station.
The other 2 Arlo Essential Wire-Free cams which are inside the house go live within 2 seconds. They are not connected to the base station. The 2 other Floodlight cams are not connected to the base station. The video doorbell will go live in about 3 to 4 seconds and it is connected to the base station.
So in order for the floodlight cams and one of the Arlo essential cams to connect faster, do I need to upgrade my network to something like eero wireless mesh or Google Mesh?

Not sure if that will help (and based on posts here, folks have more trouble with eero than Google or Netgear (Orbi).
Have you tried taking the cameras indoors (perhaps 10 feet or so from your router), and see if the delay improves? That would give you some better info on whether upgrading your wifi coverage will help.

I moved them closer to the router and they did approve. It took about 4 seconds for them to show live video. It takes a few tries for the cameras to connect though. Are you thinking, I need to look into mesh system? If so, which ones do you recommend?

It sounds like a mesh (or a wifi extender) would help.

I use a Netgear Orbi system myself. Based on posts here, Eero doesn't seem to work that well with Arlo. Though of course we hear mostly from people with problems, so it's hard to gauge how many have used Eero+Arlo successfully.
