Night vision not working

Bought 2 Arlo pro 3 floodlights. Both works fine during the day. At night, the moment my porch light comes on, both lose night vision. Before it comes on, the night vision works fine. Once gone, it had to be recycled etc. is this the right behavior ?

Night vision is triggered by the light level... when the outdoor lights go on it obv turns them off and maybe the light level is close to the switch over point.

Can you angle the cameras away a bit ?
