I have the latest version of the Arlo app on iPhone. I do not pay for the Arlo subscription. When motion is detected on my Arlo 3 Floodlight, I get a notification on my phone but the floodlight does not turn on. I can turn it on manually so I know it works. I see online documentation telling me to “add a mode” but there is no such button. The device rule is set to turn the floodlight on when motion is detected. What to do?

You're likely looking at the wrong version of the FAQ. Look for the link near the top that will point you to the 4.x interface version.
The new interface that uses Feed to view recordings only has 3 modes and you can't add more. You may want to remove the existing rule and recreate it. I don't know if it's somehow related to the lack of subscription - @JamesC , @ShayneS , @BrookeN any insights?

Please go through these steps and make sure that the camera is set up correctly under each mode. I am not seeing the camera under any modes at the moment. It is under routines on the bottom of the app.

Yes, I removed the rule and re-created it, and now the spotlight turns on when motion is detected. Thanks!
