I have 4 cameras on a single base unit. I am trying to schedule what seems a simple way. Either It can not be done or I am missing something. I hope my issue can be answered so I can stop trying and failing.
I want to run one camera on motion detection always. And the remaining 3 on a schedule. I have tried several attempts and the road blocks seems to be consistent. Either all cameras need to be on motion or all cameras need to be on the same scheduled time.
I tried having each camera on a mode but you can not have two modes at one time. So you can not have two modes overlapping a time.
I also tried adding cameras as devices but these devices do not activate if they sense motion. Only record when the original mode device senses motion.
It seems you can not set up two schedules or schedule modes for the same time. In other words the cameras detect motion at the same scheduled time as a group of one, or independently guard mode at different times. So I can not have one camera continuously running and the remaining on a schedule.

Have you looked through the FAQs here that step you through creating custom modes and the schedule? Basically, you create as many custom modes with rules for only those cameras you need for some time period. This can be all, some or one. Once you have modes for each unique time period, schedule them appropriately.
It would seem that you need 2 modes - one with all cameras and one with 3. You could use the Armed mode for all cameras although a custom mode gives you more control. The 3 camera mode would have rules only for those 3 with appropriate settings for each. Once created to your satisfaction, place them in the proper time slots in the schedule. Note that you can't span midnight so set the start time at 12:00AM to whatever time you want it to stop and then from whatever time you want it to start until 11:59PM.

Not quite. I believe what @Tab64 needs is one mode with all cameras armed and one mode with just the "always on" camera armed.
Though that is assuming that all three scheduled cameras are on the same schedule.

Tips;
only ONE mode can run at a time
any camera NOT in the active mode will be off
going thru midnight split the schedule up to 1159pm then midnight next day on
there's no need to overlap, just use the custom modes.
so cams ABC, and you want A on all the time BC during night ... make a custom mode for A
in day you'd use the custom mode A and during all other times at night just use the default mode ARMED ( ABC )
