Unable to attach Pro 2. Keeps failing?

We have a base station and 2 arlo pro 2's which have worked great since last Christmas.
Bought an additional Pro 2. Synced it to the base station, no problem.
using app (on samsung), attempted to add camera to our collection. Despite it seeming unnecessary, I followed directions to detach then reattach LAN cable and power to base station. Then did the attach (camera-> pro 2-> go).
It failed (repeatedly). After failing it offered more info and took me to links about attaching app to the base station. I'm already attached to the base station and therefore cannot attach to it again. So this "help" strikes me as really weird, but I've no way to be sure what's going on behind the curtain in the app.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

If the camera was successfully synced, then it should be in the account.
Is the app using the primary account or a friend account?
