I have a new Arlo Pro system and set it up OK. My question: How do I add a new iPhone to geofencing. I first set it up while using my iPad, but since it usually stays at home, I am trying to delete it and add my iPhone. I can de-select the iPad, but the app will not show me the iPhone so I can add it to geofencing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

TomSp,
This behavior generally occurs from special characters in the iOS devices name. Even though you've indicated the name doesn't contain any special characters, try renaming your iOS device and see if you still experience the same behavior.
You might also try reinstalling the Arlo mobile app if you're still having issues.

Does the iPhone name contain an apostrophe? If it's called Tom's iPhone then it will have problems. You'd have to change it to Toms iPhone. I hope Netgear are working on fixing this

Thanks for the response. No, the iPhone does not have any special characters. It just has my first name in all alpha characters. When I select "Enabled Devices", my iPad shows up and then my iPhone also shows up with a box to select it, but immediately disappears. So I am unable to select the iPhone because it is removed from the device list before I can select it.

Thanks for the reply. I have been looking at my iPhone for so long that I didn't notice the apostrophe in my name. After renaming my iPhone without it, I was able to select Geofencing and turn it on. That's the good news.
The bad news: While at home within the geofencing zone, I'm getting notices from each camera when Armed under geofencing. My understanding of geofencing is that while enabled and armed, it only sends notifications when my iPhone is out of the geofencing zone. Am I missing something?

Notifications are a function of the rules in the mode you have selected for when you're Home. Either your mode/rules aren't set up correctly or the geofencing isn't correctly determining your position. If you have recording both when you're home and when you're away, you'll definitely need a custom recording mode. You can use Armed for one of the modes but check the rules in Armed for notification settings
