Recently purchased Arlo Solar Panel. Battery is draining fast

Hello, I recently purchased an Arlo solar panel from Fry’s and hooked it up to my camera. It is draining the battery at an astronomical rate. For example, I put a freshly charged battery in last night at 6pm and by 8am this morning the battery depleted by 50%. Any idea why this is occurring? Does the battery actually get drained by the Solar panel when the panel isn’t fully charged?

The solar panel should not drain the battery....

Easy test is to pull the panel and see if another battery drains for some reason.  Also make sure the connection is good and in properly
