Just curious if there’s anybody still using the Recalled outdoor power cord. If so, what kind of homemade remedies have you tried to seal water out?

For those of you who are using it, what are your opinions of the Wasserstein outdoor cord? I’ve read reviews that it won’t charge the cameras. And an error message is displayed in the arlo app saying the cord won’t charge the battery. Is this true?

Eric182,
NETGEAR does not recommend using third-party charging accessories with your Arlo cameras as these could potentially cause damage and void the warranty. Only use the charging cable and adapter that was included with your Arlo kit or compatible NETGEAR branded accessories.
Take a look here for more information on the outdoor charging cable recall: VMA4700 Recall Form

JamesC,
Thank you for your generalized response. I am well aware of netgear's stance on non- netgear gear. In my original post, I stated that I am looking for people that are using the Wasserstein cord and their opinion of it.
I have heard people say that it works fine but I've also heard people that say they get error messages in the Arlo app. I'm just trying to get some clarification.
