Just got an old stock arlo pro 2 system and cannot seem to connect to my app. It keeps searching to connect but says try again. any suggestions

Assuming you're trying to connect the base to your account first (which is needed), what are the LED(s) on the base showing? Power and Internet should be green and Camera should be off or solid amber. If Camera is green, it would appear that the original owner has not removed the system from their account. Only one person can have the base in their account at a time. Contact them to do so. Another possibility is to reset the base by holding a the reset button on the back until the LEDs flash amber (~10 seconds or so). Let the base reboot, check the LEDs and then use the app (or web client - my.arlo.com in a computer browser) to claim the base. Once that's in your account you can connect the cameras to the base.
