Powerline adapters outdoor, water proof?

Hi.  I'm planning out my Camera Locations and I would like to mount them on the outside of my home.
If I run a powercord from an outside outlet to the camera will they work or will the Rain interfere?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

You should be able to do that, but you must insure that the power cable and connections are weather proof and rain proof.

The normal supplied ac adapter is NOT weather proof... and should not be used outdoors ( water can get into camera ).

It will void your warranty.

The weather proof ac adapter was recalled a short time ago and a new replacement has not been released.
