Phone App dot with numbers in it

New to Arlo pro 2 my question is on the phone app it has a dot with numbers in it. What is this and how do I clear it? See photo.

The badge shows the number of notifications you've had since checking. The number should disappear when you go into your app. You may need to go into the library to clear the numbers of unviewed videos from the cameras

If this doesn't work, you may be able to long hold on the app icon and click "clear badge" to get rid of the number
