Today at around 11:35 local time in clear daylight we have an issue where we had a visitor to our gate who was speaking but which was not recorded at all, but there was video before and after and other video of us recorded from other cameras at the same time.

Of interest is that the person who was not recorded was wearing gray camoflage clothing - it is possible this, combined with direct approach towards the camera can fail to trigger the Pro 2's motion detection.

As a precaution we have enabled audio detection, which we normally leave off because of passing cars triggering

So the audio detect needs to be revised to provide option ignore the sound of passing cars if configured to do so..

We have increased the motion detection sensitivity on the affected camera to 80% to 90% - will this help?

I usu run my cameras at about 90% motion, so yes that may help....

( but I have no cars in the view either which can false trigger )

As to the clothes, prob not an issue as the camera see IR not color... tho straight on may be more of a factor.

But a question does come up; how soon before and after the visitor were the other two videos... there is a reset time from one video to the next recording if the motion continues at the end of time set for camera.  It usu takes about 15-20 secs for the camera to reset the trigger.

The library was able to record 2 videos of us in the garden around the same time as the camera facing the front gate should have recorded -and did not  all of the events should have occurred within 1 minute so sounds like the trigger reset time was the issue here,

Any suggestion to how handle multiple cameras triggering separately at the same time - note that we have 2 VMB4000 units one of which does not have cameras connected to it at the moment, would that require pairing the front cameras onto the separate VMB4000?
