I currently have 2 pro 2 cameras and 1 essential camera, none with a subscription. The essential camera will not record at all, both pro 2 cameras do record. If I purchase a single camera subscription for the essential camera, will it affect the 2 pro 2 cameras?

In theory you need a subscription for the essential camera, the pro2 legacy cameras should retain the 7days free cloud storage service.
If you have a arlo hub 4540/5000 then you can view the essential motion recordings in the mobile app from the backup storage device if implemented.
If you suffer after getting the subscription, try removing and re adding the pro2 Cameras again.
