I have 4 Arlo pros and a base. I’ve added a set of new Pro 2s. Unfortunately the app was updated.

Now I can’t:

1 leave all my cameras on all the time actively monitoring. Is there a way to turn them all back on to monitor constantly without the security and alarm features? I don’t want all that alarms and security stuff — The wording makes it look like it’s a security system and I already have one

2 have all feeds going to my external hard drive on the base. Is there a place I can view my stored external HD videos recorded locally?

3 is it possible that all cameras aren’t automatically synced to the base despite it confirming everything is there in the app?

Which would take you over the 5 camera limit for free storage

Can you confirm that you added new Pro 2s? (not used)?  Arlo stopped making them back in 2019, so there aren't many new ones around.

Essential Gen 2 cameras or Pro 5 cameras would migrate you to "Feed", but adding a Pro 2 shouldn't trigger this.

The cameras can't livestream 24x7, there is a timeout built into the browser and app.

Do you mean just notify you when they detect motion?  If so, they can to that.  What mode is the system in?

What base do you have?  Look for a VMBxxxx label on it

  • VMB3xxx have a USB port but do not support local recording
  • VMB4000/VMB4500 bases support local recording but do not support playback.  You need to eject the storage and connect it to a PC to view it
  • VMB4540 and VMB5000 do support playback in the app (but not the browser).

Can you livestream the cameras?
