My arlo app was updated in the middle of the night. I've posted to the community questions concerning previously configured custom modes and asking how to schedule them. But, until I can understand that issue, I now have the issue that the Dashboard shows three modes, Armed Away Armed Home and Standby.

Question: Do I have to modify the camera sensitivities each time of day that I say choose Armed Away? e.g. Armed Away during the daytime I would want lower sensitivity settings vs Armed Away at Night time

Also, would I have to modify the Armed Home setting to exclude the Patio camera if we are on the patio, but re-enable through modifying the Armed Away mode when we come indoors?

The simplest thing here is to go into devices, select the settings for the patio camera, and turn it off.  Then turn it back on when you go back inside.

You can also modify the Armed Away mode if you want to do it that way.

You only have the three modes to work with.  So you would need to modify the sensistivities.

They are planning to add back custom modes to "Feed" - once they do that, you'll have more options.

Thank You. Three modes seems limiting. I had several modes related to specific activities like when we are using the patio for extended time frames e.g. mode "All but Patio", "All but Garage/Entry", etc.  It's obvious that one might want security (notifications, recordings, etc.) for a portion of your residence/property if your were conducting activities to a limited area.

As far as scheduling capabilities, that's another issue I'm trying to understand. I have posted my issues here and see I have received some feedback to follow up on.

I mentioned scheduling issues in error to your reference of "Custom Modes", both of which I'm having issues with and have posted questions. I see that my op is now in this thread that goes back for quite a while with issues with this app. Strange that mine was not an issue until last week.

I also see you've been replying the same thing in the thread for what, a year and a half? "They are planning to add back custom modes"

Does arlo development post a product roadmap? Or targeted version release schedule for Bug Fixes or Enhancement?

Note I don't work for Arlo or represent them in any way.

Arlo announced here that they were going to add back custom modes quite a while ago.  More recently they've said it will roll out soon - but didn't give a date.

Some KB articles are starting to show up - for instance

So my guess is that it won't be long now.
