As previously posted, my app was updated in the middle of the night and it is no longer functioning correctly, and/or I do not know how to use it now. A friend tells me it might have been hacked?
I set the mode to "Arm Home" I find it in the "Standby Mode" all by itself?
My iphone shows the notifications when I put it in "Arm Home" but there is not any notification when it is put into "Standby" by itself. Note: It does show notifications IF I PUT IT IN STANDBY MODE.
My wife has already contacted ADT to try and have our old security system activated. This is very scary that the system will not stay in Arm mode.
I can't believe that arlo is still advertising for me to purchase a plan. Do you now have to buy a plan for the system to stayed armed?

Have you checked your Automations (schedules) in Routines? Perhaps deleting them and recreating them would be useful.

Wow! I have "Schedules" who would have known this and where did they come from?
In the app I use to have Modes, the standard Armed, Disarmed, Schedule, Custom Modes, etc.
The Schedule (singular) was configured to turn a mode on or off for a scheduled start time through a scheduled end time. The individual modes were used to set individual camera settings (inclusion, functions, sensitivities and actions) of cameras.
Now I find thank to your directions, in "Schedules" under Routines | Automations
Schedule 10 5:00 PM Everyday
Schedule 12 2:30 PM Everyday
Schedule 14 1:31 PM Everyday
Schedule 16 1:30 PM Everyday
Schedule 18 10:30 AM Everyday
Schedule 2 12:00 AM Everyday
Schedule 20 6:50 AM Everyday
Schedule 4 11:59 PM Everyday
Schedule 6 7:30 PM Everyday
Schedule 8 5:01 PM Everyday
This is so strange! This is the order they are listed in.
- Why does it think I want to have these "Schedules" to put the system in Standby modes at 10 different times during a 24 hour day?
- Why are they only Even Number Names?
- These are all stated for "Everyday" "Always Enabled" "Standby" at specific times (explains why I always find the app is in Standby Mode)
- Why was my phone not getting notifications of these events?
Does anyone from arlo read these community posts?

Wow I still have Custom Modes!
They are listed in the app in Automations | Modes "Custom Modes"
All appear to be there! I can select them and apparently edit them, but How do I enable one?
Or better yet how do I set an "Automation" for them to be enabled at set times?

Custom modes are in the process of being rolled out and some functionality (Automations) isn't yet available. Maybe sometime in Q1? You can create custom modes but you'd have to manually enable them via Dashboard.

I suggest deleting all these, and starting over.

I did delete the "Schedules", it was the only way to keep the system from automatically being set to Disarm.
Now that I've done that the system stays in which every mode has been selected.
NOW, how do I select one of the Custom Modes that I have?

You can explore that of course. But it is still a work in process, and I don't believe scheduling custom modes will work.

When I select Custom Mode from the "Dashboard" then Custom Mode on the "Modes" page, my custom modes are select able and are editable, also deletable.
But how do you enable a custom mode???

Best not to double-post. I replied to your other one.

I don't think you were hacked.
Arlo changed the software. It happened to me too.
.....AND THIS NEW SOFTWARE IS TERRIBLE!.
I am not happy with it at all.

So I do have numerous postings since this arlo app was forced updated, but I thought I was posting in different threads.
I did see your other reply, and it references settings and modes being rolled out and not available.
However, I see Modes and I see Custom Modes I had before and I can create additional custom modes. I can edit or delete these modes. I can only select and enable the Arm Away Arm Home or Standby on the Dashboard page not any Custom Mode Schedule and Geofence are greyed out and can not be edited or deleted nor do I understand what schedule has to do with Custom Modes.
Eureka! I can select Custom Mode!
To select a custom mode from the Dashboard page you must:
- press the circled house to the left of the words Custom Mode, it will turn blue.
- Then press the ">" to the right of the words Custom Mode, this opens the Routines page and displays the blue circled house symbol and words of the words Custom Mode Active. Below of the words Custom Mode Active, the words arlo home security are displayed with the name of the active custom mode to the right.
- Press the symbol indicating up ^ and down v to the right of the named active custom mode. When pressed all custom modes are listed.
- Press the name of any of the listed custom modes to select and make active.

First off, Do you have a subscription plan? (do you pay a subscription fee?)
If not, I am not sure where you are seeing this stuff that you wrote below. Because I do not see it. I see nothing that reads "Custom Mode".

They aren't implemented yet in Feed, so they are placeholders

When finished, "Custom Modes" will give you the old "Library" features implemented in the same way they were in "Library". So instead of using scheduling and geofencing automations, you will use something like the screens you had in the old interface.

This does not require a subscription.
But it is a work-in-progress that is being rolled out slowly by Arlo, so not everyone is seeing this stuff yet.
