My camera won’t record images within view unless right under the camera.

The infrared sensor only has a 25ft detection range. If the camera is mounted on the eaves of a two level house you only get about 15ft horizontal range at ground level.

Post a screenshot of the camera view for suggestions. Also check your modes and rules to change your motion sensitivity.
