I have an outdoor location that I can get a low voltage cable to but not a standard electrical outlet. Don't want to worry about charging batteries. Can I cut the Wasserstein weatherproof cable and extend it up to 100 ft. then solder and seal the connections to make them weatherproof again?
Anyone have another solution?

It is possible....the distance of DC ( which can be lossy ) is dependant on the size wire... use a to small a guage and the V will drop to much...
If able try a cat 5 type wire but triple up on the wires for distance or some larger gauge wire.

Probably a good idea to remove the battery from the camera. Especially if only extending the two power wires in the 5 wire cable. The battery has 4 tabs, two are marked plus and minus. The other two are most likely for battery condition and status.
