Local storage without subscription with Arlo pro 2

I am trying to have a local storage with the Arlo hub with usb connection.How do I configured it for local
storage without using a paid subscriptions.
please advice step by step process in using an external usb storage for capturing video from the Arlo cameras when it is triggered with movement.

Since you picked a Pro 2 camera you likely have a VMB3xxx or possibly a VMB4000. We need to know which one you have so look on the bottom of the base for the label that has that listed. The VMB3xxx have no ability to record to a USB drive while the 4000 does. However, the 4000 would require that you eject the drive for viewing on a computer.

How many unsubscribed cameras do you have? If five or fewer, then you should have the free 7-day cloud storage. Are you getting that?
