This problem was supposedly fixed.
https://status.arlo.com/incident/51
This problem has just re-occurred on my Arlo Pro 2 (x4) and Ultra (x3) system.
Date is April 6 2020 (16 days after it was fixed).
First error I see is: "AC power has been disconnected from your Arlo device. Activity Zones are currently disabled"
And when you click on that msg, it then says "Maximum of 5 camera streams are supported simultaneously. Please stop one stream before starting another camera stream."
I wasted hours cycling camera power, cycling base station power, checking internet connections, trying out all the suggestions on the forums and even logging in and out whilst standing upside down on my head and drinking water (you get the idea...). None worked, because the above error messages had nothing to do with the problem. Very unhelpful.
SOLUTION: Login to the Arlo website via web browser interface, goto Subscriptions and add each camera back to the subscription.
My cameras had been dumped out of the Subscription (again). It took me awhile to tweak to this problem again.
I cannot be sure but I believe this was triggered by Arlo demanding my Credit card details be updated ahead of the end of my 1 year of free Arlo Smart sub. No email, no alert, no indication that this was the trigger. It was probably an automated process - it should not be.
I've had 7 Arlo cameras on the Arlo Smart sub for almost a year and have had to manually intervene to get them working again at least 4 times.
I have not changed anything after my original setup.
My expectation was that they were set and forget. But I keep losing access to the cameras and to the recordings.
Why do the changes that Arlo is applying keep breaking a working system?
I will be polite, but I do have some feedback for the Arlo developers.
I have had to head to the forums looking for solutions more often than I would like, and I felt some of the criticisms were a little harsh, but I am starting to understand the frustration of your long suffering customers.
Your devices and service are not cheap and that comes with an expectation.
I would like Arlo to stop dropping my cameras from my subscription unless my sub expires.
After the first time, it was annoying but I chalked it up as a mistake. But it keeps happening and that is not a mistake.
