If base gets unplugged can I still see the video of it happening?

If my base gets disconnected (wires get pulled out by the kids), will i be able to look at the footage seconds before ?

You would only see what videos was triggered by motion or CVR. What are you trying to see - the kids pulling wires? If so, you would beed a camera aimed at the base and maybe your router.
