If I subscribe to 24/7 video recording, does it need to be plugged in?

I wonder if you can help me,
I have Arlo Pro 2, but I am not plugging it in as I'm using it as an outdoor camera.
I am looking to subscribe to get 24/7 video recording.
My question is: If I subscribe, will I still need to plug the camera to get 24/7 video recording, or I don't need to plug the camera to get 24/4 recording if I am subscribing?

24/7 recording (CVR) requires AC power since the constant operation would run the battery down quickly.
