The pinched field of view setting I size within the device settings does not persist once I go back into the device and turn on for live viewing. I have captured video at the desired field of view, but I cannot now return to that desired view. How do I fix?

Just tested it here and it worked fine. Are you using the app or the web client? For the web, be sure to click on Save which is the same icon as for Zoom. You may want to reinsert the camera battery and reboot the base or remove and resync the camera.
