I just added a 5th Arlo Pro 2 camera to my base station. Everything was working fine until I tried to add this 5th camera to the ARMED MODE rule where the app would not give an option to add another rule. I also tried setting up a custom rule and had no problem adding a 5th camera to the custom rule. Does anyone know if this apparent 4 camera limit to the ARMED MODE rule is by design or is it a bug? RIght now it is making it impossible to arm my new 5th camera without creating a custom rule .

when you connect a new camera it should automatically create a rule in the Armed section. I think I would remove the camera and try to add it back in to see if a rule for that camera appears. I can't explain why it is working in a custom rule and not show up in the Armed section unless it did not sync correctly. If that doesn't work, try to unplug the power from the base then power it back up and allow it to boot up. Possibly the firmware is corrupt.
