Looking like EOL has come early.

I don’t recall anyone being able to recover from this condition.

Do you have subscription for the camera, arlo customer support may give you a discount on a brand new camera.

Oh lovely ! Isnt that contrary to the date that Arlo put out of Jan 1 2024 ? How can they do this ? Is there no way to reset the cam or update the firmware manually ?
I would hope that this isnt falling into Arlo’s EOL protocol, that would not be cool

If the camera is still online which is doubtful given the condition described, when you go into the camera settings under info you have the manual update option.

I have not seen any notifications for new firmware being released but not that unusual though.

No doubt that arlo will begin the EOL firmware  rollout closer the end date.

What do you mean by online ??

I was never able to connect the camera to the base station because of this condition.

To clarify the camera needs to be connected to the base station and working, I.e. online for updating to occur.

If the camera is showing alternative amber blue flashing it means that the camera is likely stuck trying to update and will never get there as it is not connected.

This can occur if you pulled power to the camera while the camera was connected and in the middle of updating.

See,

The method to reset the pro2 cameras is to remove external power and battery for 10sec which you have already mentioned.

So can it be fixed ?? Or is it now garbage ??

If the camera is out of warranty, then your up for a new camera.

If it was attached to a subscription plan you could ask arlo for a discount.

Since the camera is slated for EOL in 2024 you can apply for the “Valued US arlo customer” offer.

That is speculation, no evidence that Arlo has done anything to prevent legacy cameras from being onbaorded.

@BFD457:  Are you seeing the blue+amber flashing?  Or are you just stuck when onboarding when you get to the firmware update screen?

Just seeing the blue and amber lights flashing when I try to add the camera to my system…wish there was a fix for this
