How long is it suppose to last a battery in a camera? Camera with solar charger but not charging.

I have my camera with a Solar Charger. But lately I notice that the battery does not charge anymore. Is not suppose that the solar panel keep the battery from depleting??

The panel's ability to keep the battery charged depends on many variables such as how much sunlight it gets, how much recording and live viewing is being done, condition of the camera and/or battery, etc. It can be as simple as not being properly plugged in or as bad as faulty hardware. When plugged in and in good sunlight, do you get the battery icon with a lightning bolt across it, indicating charging? Can you charge the battery manually?
