Hi. I recently saw a review that stated that you need to have a subscription plan in order to record motion-activated events using the USB port on the hub? That doesn't seem right, but I haven't installed mine yet. Anyone know if that's true?

With the Pro2 model, you can run a Basic level service( free ) which is 7 days rolling storage with up to 5 cameras...
Also the USB backup can record motion activated events ( not manually started ) but the same as those that go to the cloud
