Cannot sign in; saying not connected to Internet on my Android Phone?

Subject and Model are not accepting my info.  As far as I can tell, the Arlo Pro 2 model number is VMS4230.  My problem is trying to check the status when I am away from home, such as in the parking lot of a shopping center.  It brings up the sign-in screen, rather than just showing my screen showing the 2 cameras.  When I try to sign in, it tells me I am not connected to the Internet, and it will not sign me in, so I am not able to check anything.  Is this a problem with settings on my Android phone?  Can anyone suggest what I need to change, so that I can turn cameras on or check them when I am away from home?

I may have figured it out.  I played with phone settings while at a basketball game this evening, and got it to connect.  If it doesn't continue to work for me, I'll post another reply.
