I own the Pro 2 system and have the app installed on my Android phone. Been using it for several years. My parents have the same system and I've been able to see all their cameras via the "shared" feature (using app) for several years with no issues. This last week I opened the Arlo app to check their camera batteries, and I no longer have their cameras showing in my list of cameras. All I see is my cameras.  How can I fix this?

The other odd thing is my parents Arlo app was updated to the "free trial" without them asking for that "feature" (note that my app never got updated to "trial" mode). Not sure if having their system/app on a trial is messing up the shared camera feature but I really need this fixed as my parents are elderly and I need to keep an eye on them and their home.

It's not the trial.  It is likely because their account was migrated to the new "Feed" interface (showing "Feed" and "Dashboard" in the app instead of "Library").

If that's the problem, then you need to force the migration of your account by going into "add device" and starting to add a Pro 5s camera.  While you can't finish that process w/o the camera, the workflow will migrate your account before you get stuck.

One drawback of "Feed" is that it doesn't have custom modes (yet).  Scheduling and geofencing is also done differently, so if you use those features you can post back with the details.

Of course if you know their username and password and aren't in a rush, you can alternatively use their account credentials when you want to see their cameras and recordings. You will have to get through the two-factor authentication somehow (perhaps setting up SMS to text your phone).

What a pain in the arss.

Our cams are the Pro 2 version. Not "5s" . Does that part matter?

Forced Migration requires starting to add a Pro 5s (or some other new cameras you don't have).  You DON'T need to own the camera.  The workflow will migrate your account early on, and you can exit the process at that point.

Thanks.  I was able to trick the app to update so I could finally get access to all cameras.

thx
