I have set up a local storage and I can see the videos are getting recorded. The problem is that i have to remove the USB drive and connect it to the computer to check the videos. Why is arlo not providing the facility to view these videos? I cant this being very difficult for them to update in their app such a way that anything older than 7 days old it should be able to display the videos from the local storage.
Any reason why Arlo is not able to provide this functionality?

While I agree that the ability to view videos on the USB drive without pulling it out of the base would be useful, remember that it's just a backup to the cloud. For the most part, there's little reason to pull the drive except for an Internet outage.

They do provide access to 30 and 60 days actual viewing... but these are paid services, not on the free level.
