Can Arlo and Arlo Pro cameras connect to Arlo Pro 2 base station?

I have purchased the Arlo 2 base station with two cameras (model Netgear VMS4230P-100EUS Arlo Pro 2) . 

Can I extend the system with Arlo or Arlo Pro cameras (as a cheaper alternative to the rather expensive Arlo Pro 2 cameras?)

Yes. Arlo Pro cameras will sync to your base station (as will Arlo wirefree but don't get those ones)
