my cameras only notify and record to audio, they are not responding and recording for motion. I've tried resetting, removing, etc. I have done the motion detection test and the respond, I have the settings correct. I do not have a subscription, did arlo get rid of the free 7 day cloud storage? everything was fine until about 2 months ago.

When this occurs try removing the battery from the camera for 10sec to reset it.
Does the motion detector test work correctly? If not then resetting the camera should fix it.
edit: I missed your comment about the motion test working ok.
check your camera rules have not been corrupted.
