Camera not detecting motion at night

I have a pair of Arlo Pro 2 and they were side by side last night with one of them charging and only the one charging picked up the motion. Night vision is on and battery was fully charged. Any help? Very scary when someone was walking in my house. What if the one wasn't on the charger and neither of them picked it up.
