Camera not detecting a red car

My pro 2 camera is pointing at my garages and down my driveway. Every day when I leave in either of my 2 black cars my motion is always detected. However my wife drives a red Prius V and 85% of the time no movement is detected. We drive down the same driveway. The camera will pick up cars passing on the road 50 feet away that are only in very top frame for 5 seconds.

It will pick up my dog or me walking, its pretty sensitive but somehow always misses her car. Is red a hard color to pick up on motion detection?

It's possible that something about the paint formulation absorbs IR instead of reflecting it. Maybe the exact wavelengths of red or the clearcoat is the issue.
