Camera and Batteries problem

My camera and batteries went bad within approximately 6 months. The camera is mounted under a carport. Is this normal?

What do you mean by "went bad"?  If the camera isn't working with fresh batteries, is there any sign of physical damage?  Did you try resyncing it with the base?  

 

One option is to use customer support - your camera should still be under warranty.  https://www.arlo.com/en-us/support/contact.aspx
