I've had these cameras installed for about 4 months now. the first burglary at my home, the camera did not even record. this morning, someone cased both of my cars and the camera only picked up the guy as he was leaving my property.
Just now, the camera picked up a random truck in my driveway as it was leaving.... LEAVING. not as it was entering. i dont know how long this vehicle was there.
Has anyone else had issues with their arlo pro 2 cameras having severe delays in recording? its definitely not my internet connection as i've got a pretty high speed connection as well as repeaters throughout the house. See the footage below :

btw, the 'copy link' button does not work on the online library interface.

The big problem is improper camera positioning. Like any PIR detection device, motion is bet detected ACROSS the FOV, not directly at the camera. In addition, person detection is a max of about 25 feet but the person "casing" is partially hidden by the car so isn't presenting as big a target.
Read the FAQs here on camera positioning. We can't see whether there are other parts of the house that could be used to attach the camera but a screw-on exterior mount that extends out from the mounting surface may be useful.

Yea, sorry i cant stand by that. i read through all of that before i put these cameras up. the back of the cars is roughly 16ft from where the camera is positioned, well within that range. Not to mention the guy went to both cars (fresh hand prints on both door cars' door handles less than 5 min later).
I'm walking where he would've and the camera finds me, and didn't pick him up this morning.

my camera in my backyard picks me up well beyond that limit :

and this still doesn't explain why the camera didn't pick up the big van pulling into my driveway (the 2nd video i posted)

I concure with jguerdat and couldn't have said it better. You could remove all devices including the base station from your account and do a hard reset on the base station and then resetup the Arlo system as if it was new but still using the same account login. This will usaly resolve any issues.
How can I reset my Arlo base station to the default values?

Plug them in.
On battery it takes about 2-3 seconds from the time motion is detected till video is recorded.
If the camera is plugged in, it starts recording video 3 seconds before motion is detected. Ive tested this and this is from experience.
