You could try swapping a working battery if you have another camera. Or read the article below, https://kb.arlo.com/000052305/My-Arlo-Pro-or-Arlo-Pro-2-battery-is-dead-what-do-I-do

I just put in 2 new batteries and used a battery that is replaced. This shouldn’t do what it’s doing. It even says it’s charging when it’s not plugged in.

Since Arlo upgraded to the Arlo Secure App, I am unable to charge my Arlo Pro 2 cameras, as the app says I'm not using a compatible Arlo or Netgear charger.  Yet I'm using the same charger block & wire that I've used for years to charge these very same cameras. Arlo stopped selling replacement batteries for the Arlo Pro 2 cameras, & the only batteries one can find are on Ebay or Amazon.  So far I've yet to find one that was genuine & would hold a charge longer than a week.

Have you tried removing and reinstalling the Pro 2 cam?

The app has no way to tell what charger you are using - the camera is telling you that through the app.  It can only sense the voltage/power that is being delivered - not the charger model itself.

You should make sure the microUSB socket is clean, and clean the contacts on the batteries and inside the camera while you are at it.

The charger might have failed - you can replace it with one that supports QualComm QuickCharge.  Or consider getting a standalone charging station.  Arlo's is VMA4400C -

There are third-party charging stations that are a lot less expensive - I don't own one of those, so I have no idea how well they work.
