Last week, I purchased an arlo pro 2 camera system (base station + 2 cameras) and one of the camera is draining the battery rather fast. Every day, I am losing about 20% of the charge.
Additionally, for one of the cameras, after I replaced the battery with a fully charged battery and motion activation stops. However, in the app and web app, I can view a live feed which rules out any connectivity issues.
The cameras are running f/w 1.125.11.1_25366 and the base station is running f/w 1.10.0.9_23037
How do I fix this?
Thanks,
Brad.

For starters, restart the base. Reinsert the batteries in the toruble cameras.
For the battery drain, swap locations with the other camera to see if it's the camera or the location.
For the recording issue, make sure you're using a mode that has rules for both cameras, such as Armed. Check the the settings are identical in all rules.

Restarted the base many times. Happens on both cameras, and the rules are identical for both cameras.

Did the resync last night as well. As we are communicating, the motion sensor came back to life. I shall see how persistent this is.
What is interesting is that during this time I could always get a live feed from the camera which rules out connectivity issues between the base station and camera, as well as base station and cloud.
I think there are a few software/firmware bugs that Netgear needs to work through.

Looks like I may have found the solution - Keeping the netgear arlo app open on my iPhone may be the culprit. After closing this app, battery life has been acceptable.

I've been experiencing battery drain issues w/ my arlo wire free camera. After closing the app on my phone (by swiping up), the battery drain problems appeared to have gone away.
Can someone from netgear follow up here and confirm that this is a bug with the application?
Thanks,
Brad.

Hey @bradwilliamson,
The app being opened or closed should not impact the battery life for the Arlo Pro. We had a firmware update that released a couple of weeks ago that fixed the battery drain issue for Arlo Pro 2.
