I decided to hardwire my cameras because I didn’t want to have to recharge batteries. I can’t discover/ connect them with the app. I plugged the camera to the router and router to arlo base. What am i doing wrong? What should I do? Thanks

Can you sync the camera next to the base station before placing it in the mounted position and connecting the power cable?
What do you mean by "I plugged the camera to the router"?

The base connects to the router via the Ethernet cable. WHen first connecting, the power and Internet LEDs should be green. You then claim the base using the Add Device selection on the Devices tab of the web or app interface. Then you sync the cameras by briefly pressing the base sync button (don't hold it for 2 seconds) and then the camera sync button.
The camera is powered by the battery and/or the included power supply. It has nothing to do with the router. The only possible connection is AC power.
