Hi, Hope that you can help me. My 3 cameras arlo pro 2 and doorbell go offline on and off. Arlo baby works fine. Shortly in periods of the day all works fine but it seems to loose connection and in the app give the message that the devices is offline. I have tried to factory reset cameras. Restarted the base station over and over...all flash green. The firmware should be latest version 1.17.0.0_3953_6ba79e5. It started some days ago after i added a new Essential camera to the SmartHub. It worked fine but the essential also have same problems as the pro 2 cameras so i have removed it again to get back to what have worked for years! very frustrated :0(

Could you please advice. thanks in advance

Firmvare fro the pro 2  = 1.125.17.1_11_de8490d

It could well be a signal strength and/or quality issue. Try moving the hub away from the router. It may be worthwhile moving the hub to a location where all cameras get better reception which would require a long cable or maybe a WiFi extender.

Do you have both a base and a hub or just one? If both, they may be interfering with each other so some physical separation would be useful.

Dear jguerdat

Thanks a lot. I believe your input got me directed in the right direction. I moved my Hub (VMB4000) to another location in our house using an AP LAN port. On my switch i saw that the dedicated LAN port i have used for the last 3 years was amber (10/100 MbE) while the APs LAN port was green (1 GbE). I will try to change the LAN cable to see if that has anything to do with the changed behaviour. I have a theory that when adding the new Essential Camera the firmware updated and triggered a need for 1 GbE connection!?

I have just change the Hub to another LAN port on same network so 1 GbE is possible from the "old" LAN port. But yes away from the Router so you may be spot on :0) just strange that it have never been a problem before. Anyway all works again at least for some hours now so i cross my fingers that it will stay this way.

The VMB4000 has a 10/100mbps (fast ethernet) network adapter.

It's not capable of gigabit operation.

Hi again. Now running for 24 hours without any new interruptions i conclude that when adding a new Camera to my existing setup on my WMB4000 basestation i guess i created signal interference. Maybe with my router. Thanks again jguerdat :0)
