Say I keep the Arlo Pro 2 on a tree outside, need a ladder to get to it, If I'd like to recharge the battery, do I have to remove the entire camera from the mount? Then how long will it take to return it back to it's mount?

Like the P1, yes, the camera needs to be removed for charging. It takes 2.5-3 hours to charge if you don't have a spare battery and the external charger. You may be able to use the solar panel accessory to prevent this as long as it has good access to the sun.
