Arlo Pro 2 vs Arlo Q

In our house we use an Arlo Q for our sons room and it works perfectly. Would this be able or need to connect to the base station? Also what is the battery life when running the cameras at the highest resolution? As well as how long a full recharge takes?

The P2 needs a base station.  Battery life depends on the total number of minutes recording and live viewing with <5 minutes per day on average giving you spec life. I get 2-3 months on mine. The battery will recharrge like the P1, in about 2.5 hours.
