My cameras have a long delay with 'real time'. It feels like about a minute. So that is not helpful. Has there been a problem lately? Should I turn off the base system and restart?

Yes, thanks. We had a problem on our end with our router which seemed to fix the problem when it was rebooted.

Is this a new thing for you? Or something you have seen all the time?
Rebooting the base station will do no harm, but maybe also no good.
