Arlo Pro 2 missing footage. People leaving but camera not recording anything.

Why is my Arlo 2 missing critical footage? I have video of people leaving but not recorded coming back just to have a video hours later of them leaving again. There is no way for them to avoid the cameras so it is big flaw. Anyone else dealt with this?

How far away are they from the camera? It is more sensitive to side-to-side motion (across the field of view), and more sensitive at the bottom of the field of view than the top. https://kb.arlo.com/000051462/How-do-I-position-my-Arlo-Pro-2-camera

Mine only 3 weeks old now its messing up bad. I was able to leave the house with no record then my wife was able to start her car go back in and leave two mins later all with no record. This is not acceptable or secure! My other system (hard wired DVR) got both of us but has no phone app.

My system is less than 3 weeks old and it hasn't failed to see me or my wife leave for work until today. My wife even made several trips to her car and we got no notification, no video stored in the library. The camera is plugged in and that shows under devices. it got me coming home but not her. I cleaned the lens just incase but still not working right. I see others have had similar problems. What fixes it other than returning it and buy something else? My hard-wired DVR never fails but has no phone app.

Have you tried using the motion detection test to see if your camera detects motion? Read this article to learn how to use the test: How do I use the motion detection test for my Arlo device?
You can also try adjusting the motion sensitivity to see if that would help: How do I change the motion sensitivity on my Arlo camera?

I have not yet but its has worked for 2.5 weeks nothing in the yard has changed. My wife left for work today it did nothing, I took the trash out it did nothing on my way there or back. so i walked up to it waving it saw that... I used a micro fiber cloth again on the lens just to be sure. seems like this one might not be so good. I wonder what other footage from the other cameras i'm missing. I see foot prints in the snow but not all are captured on another camera.

The cameras will for whatever reason stop recording/looking for motion, you will notice that in the app if you turn the individual camera off and on it will be fine for a day then do it again... I have sent mine back for a refund. I'm guessing that this is a software/app issue.
