Hi,

We'd like to setup a temporary CCTV with wire-free Arlo cameras but the Arlo base station doesn't seem to get an IP.

The base station is working fine outside of our local network but when plugged in our network the "internet" LED is off.

Our setup is : Internet <> WatchGuard Firewall <> MS Server 2016 DC (with DHCP) <> Alcatel L3 Switch <> Cisco L3 Switch <> Arlo Base Station

I tried editing our DHCP to make a reservation but it doesn't change anything. We are using multiple VLANs.

It's a real shame in 2018 to not have a proper way to setup a static IP address.

Thank you for your assistance,

Kindly.

Further information,

The Station does broadcast a DHCP Discover.

Bootp flag is set to unicast. The base station MAC Address is correctly communicated through the DHCP Discover.

I tried to plug the base station directly into our network core switch the setup is :

Internet <> WatchGuard Firewall <> MS Server 2016 DC <> Alcatel L3 switch <> Arlo Base Station

Alcatel L3 switch's IPv4 switching configuration :

IPv4 Multicast : disabled

Querying : disabled

Proxying : disabled

[...]

Version : IGMP V2

Query interval : 125 sec

Query response interval : 100 1/10 sec

[...]

Router Timeout : 90 sec

Source Timeout : 30 sec

Since the Station keeps broadcasting DHCP discovers it seems to confirm it's an IP issue.
