Arlo Pro 2 doesn't use PIR for motion detection when plugged into AC and using Activity Zones?

I understood the Pro2 camera did not use PIR for motion detection when plugged into AC and using Activity Zones.  If this is true, then shouldn't the motion detection work through a window?

Thanks TomMac.   One clarification: Is any other method of motion detection used when the system is connected to Arlo Smart plan?   Or, is the Pro2 camera always limited to 20-25 feet for a detection zone?  My driveway, for example is 40' across.  It appears my camera is not detecting motion on the far side of the driveway.

Hey VC2017,

The Arlo Pro camera can detect from up to 23 feet away. You can read this article to learn how to optimize motion detection on your camera: How do I optimize motion detection for my Arlo camera?
