Arlo Pro 2 Solar Panels Not Keeping Cameras Charged

I have 4 camera on my roof, all of which have solar panels, but they are constantly dying and we have to go up there, bring them down, charge them and put them back. IS this normal?

No it's not normal. When the panels are in sunshine does the battery indicator in the app. show charging? 

Make sure that the solar panel plug is firmly inserted into the USB port on the back of the camera.

My panel is just lying flat on its back and keeps mine fully charged even with only afternoon sun.
